Can't believe it's that time of year again.... Where does the time go.... I finished our Christmas shopping Saturday.... WalMart was CRAZY.... I'll never do that again (wait, yeah I probably will.... LOL).... I still have my 3 boys to finish, but we will be doing Christmas with them on New Years Eve....
We're getting last minute things together for our trip.... For those of you who don't know, Scott & I are headed out to Kentucky to spend the Holiday with my family.... We leave tomorrow night, and will be home on Sunday....
We celebrated "early" with Scott's family.... Yesterday we had a "nontraditional" Christmas lunch and a great time of visiting.... We had Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, Corn, Green Bean Casserole.... Ginger Cake & Pumpkin Pie for dessert.... MMmmmm GOOD.....
So anyhow, until I write again.... Have a very Merry CHRISTmas....

7 days.... till Christmas....
I am no where near ready.... I have a bunch of shopping to finish.... I was going to head out today & do some of that, but I have a headache.... and didn't feel like taking Scott to work this morning... So I guess maybe tomorrow or Saturday....
I also have an order for a few rice bags.... so I have to get on that....
Yesterday we were without power for about 3 hours.... the pole in my yard was on fire.... ice must have made it short out....
Guess since I am not going shopping today, I will jsut get my housework done.... I have a bunch that needs done.... dishes, scrub the bathroom, scoop the catbox, laundry, dust, vacuum, and check for cob webs..... We'll see how much I actually get done.... LOL...

I had the BEST birthday EVER!!!!!
I have the BEST family & friends ever....
My hubby got me a GREAT birthday card.... he always does, he's great at picking cards.... always makes me cry....
All of my kids came up to see me & visit (of course I'm sure the free food had something to do with that.... LOL).... Jeff, Deb, Kaitie, Alan, TJ, Scott's Mom & Brian also was over....
Supper was ham, baked mac & cheese, baked beans, mashed taters, and red beets.... then of course spice cake & vanilla ice cream....
I received several MySpace comments (including a bunch from my Mama).... then lots of phone calls (my Dad & I talked for a while)....
I received lots of great gifts.... the Metz's went way above & beyond what they should have.... But I'm not complaining.... LOL....
So anyhow, I'm off here for the evening.... I'm beat.... Thanks to everyone who made my day special.... I'm 29 for only 364 days..... LOL...

I'm no longer a student....
I made the final decision last night.... I canceled my classes that were set to start in a month.... I was stressing out about stupid stuff really.... But if I'm constantly thinking, "am I going to pass this?".... "is this right?".... "can I make the payment every month?" $328 a month is a lot of money to come up with....
So after hours of talking to Scott & a couple friends about this.... I decided to "quit"....
I know I've upset a couple people, but this is my life, and like Scott said if I wasn't happy then do what I want....
So I still babysit Colton until the end of August.... then I can go do whatever I want.... there's a few headstarts and/or daycares that I could apply at.... But until then, I need to find something to occupy my time....
So if I've upset you or "let you down" I'm sorry.... but life still goes on, and I will be fine....

Rainy Saturday.....
Well here it is Saturday.... and it's RAINING..... So whats the best thing to do, SHOP!!!! LOL.....
I plan to head over the mountain today.... 2nd hand stores, Wal~Mart, Gabriel Brothers, & maybe the Dollar Store.... I'm in need of some clothes.... and the start of Christmas shopping....
Scott is working today (well actually Turkey hunting with his boss for a while this morning)....
We will be heading out to Kentucky for Christmas.... it will be nice to spend a Holiday with my family.... it's been a few years.... I am also excited to meet Allisa, my niece who was born in May.... and of course Alexus, who I haven't seen since she was 2 (she's now 6).... I guess the boys will probably try to head to NY, this will be their baby sister's 1st Christmas....
This has been an interesting week.... we finally got my vacuum back together & running (WOO HOO).... Had a scare, thought my washers water pump died, but it was just the hose, easy fix.... we haven't seen the SUN in about a week.... I'm tired of the fog & rain.... and then Deb just told me that they are calling for snow on Monday.... oh well.... I bought Scott's birthday present already (a week early).... he got a Savage 30-06 rifle.... got a good price on it....
So anyway, I'm off here.... should soon get ready to head out.... but why rush? I have all day....

What a weekend....
It was great.... So much got done.... Hardly seems possible....
Friday evening; Scott & I went to the local bi~weekly auction.... Usually we go to get things to resell, but of course with no place to store that type of stuff, we only bought what we "wanted".... we came home with 3 rolling pins, a nice ceiling fan, a nice wooden/mason jar lantern, an old Remington clay target thrower (for Jeff), 3 nice plastic totes.... Oh my there were a few other things too.... we only spent $30.... the ceiling fan would have cost us that new....
Saturday; Scott worked, and I cleaned up the yard ( a big pile of stuff by the garage).... Hired Brian to help me.... What a big help.... Now I have a pile of "free stuff" sitting in the front yard.... In the afternoon, I took Brian out to lunch, had chinese.... then we stopped at the Family Dollar & Karns.... I dropped him off then came home.... I made pasta salad to take to Jeff & Deb's, then Cindy stopped by to visit.... it was nice.... At 5:30 I had to leave, so I grab my purse, flip the lock on the dead bolt, grab the pasta salad & head out the door.... As soon as the door shut behind me I knew what I had done.... My keys were in the house..... AAAGGGGHHHH!!!! This house is unbreakable (without breaking windows).... So I ended up taking Cindy's van to Jeff & Deb's.... Scott met me there after playing referee at the boys' house.... we had supper & visited a little, home by 10PM....
Sunday; we slept in a little, then vegged for the morning.... In the afternoon, we put up our "new" ceiling fan in our room.... Tony & Nikki came up to visit, then borrowed out truck & trailer to go get their 4~wheelers.... then they went 4~wheelin with Kevin.... While they were gone, Scott & I went to burn junk & clean up the stuff that came out of the trailer.... then Scottie & Darren showed up.... Darren went for a walk in the woods, Scottie (my pyro) took over burning junk..... After everyone left, Scott & I went to Jeff & Deb's.... Got all the Halloween decorations packed up, organized, & put in the basement....
Today, I don't have a lot going on.... the basics of course, and I want to go through the "free stuff" out front, and burn junk that no one would want.... I also have a couple bills to get paid....
Before I get off here, figuared I'd give a "Boys Update"....

Oct. 29th.....
Well life has finally slowed down.... The kids are all settled & their stove is hooked up.... Our Halloween party is DONE for another year..... a little clean up is left from that, but it will wait unti lwe get nice plastic totes to store everything in....
We have our washer hooked up, so I am officially caught up with laundry.... Still no clothes lines up, but my 2 wooden racks are working great.... I am a little bored around here, not much to do on a daily basis....
I have picked up a small "part time" job.... cleaning empty houses & apartments.... $15.00 / hour.... it's a little extra money and gives me something to do....
I have also decided to go back to school.... the local community college here in Central PA.... HACC.... for Elementary Education.... I will transfer to Shippensburg University when I'm done at HACC.... I will start in January going full time, doing what I can online.... It will take me about 6 years, but I will end up with my Master's Degree, and will be a teacher.... My life long dream....
Well I am off here for the night.... Not much to do around here.... Scott & I are relaxing infront of the t.v.... Catching up on some recorded programs.... Enjoy your evening....

So much going on this week.... Today I am planning on cleaning/organizing the backyard & garage.... After Colton goes to school ofcourse.... I am also making my plans to go back to school.... Waiting to hear back from HACC (our local Community College)..... I am going for my teaching degree....
We are also gearing up for our annual Halloween Party.... Tomorrow evening Deb, Jess, & I will go shopping for our last minute things.... Friday night & Saturday morning will be cleaning, food prep, & decorating.... then comes the party....

October 20th....
I guess fall is here & in full swing.... It is a brisk 28* this morning.... BRRR.... I want to get some pics of the fall colors.... I have such a great view from my front porch....
So anyhow, the house is done & unpacked.... I found a desk on Saturday at the same furniture place I had gotten my living room set & bed.... So I now have the office set up..... Yesterday Scott & Kevin hauled all my canned goods downstairs & organized on the shelves, and they started cleaning up around the garage & burning old boxes....
Saturday Scott worked & I shopped.... It seems like I was at 100 different stores.... I had a great time.... I got home not to long before Scott.... We went to Kevin's for supper that night.... Mmmm... we had BBQ'd chicken, hamburgers, pasta salad, & seasoned potatoes....
Last night we went to Jeff & Deb's.... Last minute party planning supper..... Chad & Jess were there too.... We had hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken sausages, chips, tortellini salad, & potato salad.... We got a lot of planning done.... Can't believe it's only 5 days away.... We plan to head out for last minute shopping Thursday evening (well us 3 girls anyhow)....
So back to today.... I have a few small things planned.... Dust, Vacuum, Bring my Potted Plants inside, pay a few bills, balance the checkbook, & change out all the summer clothes for much warmer ones....
I'm off here for now.... Have a great one....

We've moved....
Finally.... we're done.... with the exception of moving the 2 burn piles from the old place, it's all finished....
Our new place is all settled.... the garage has to be finished yet, organized.... it's gonna be weird, when Scott places something on a shelf, it's gonna be there when he goes back for it.... LOL....

We move tomorrow....
Hard to believe, but the day is almost here.... We are at the point now where it just needs to get done.... We were up till midnight again last night.... this time we were upstairs sweeping, bagging trash, taking out air conditioners, etc.... I started on the bathroom up there, but was tired I quit.... We got our showers, relaxed for about 15 minutes infront of the t.v., then off to bed....
We've been helping the boys get things settled at their house.... I really want to get pictures, but it always seems to be dark when I get there....
I may not update for a few days, since we will be so busy.... I will post pics as soon as I can.... Please say a prayer for us....

I almost want to call the boys....
LOL.... Call me crazy, but I'm almost ready to pick up the phone.... This is crazy....
Last night I could barely sleep, it took me over an hour to settle last night.... We are so used to hearing t.v.'s, voices, and of course the kids up & down the steps at all hours....
Anyhow, the kids are just about settled into their new home.... Just a few things left here.... Tonight Scott hooked up their propane tanks for their hot water, while I showed them how to put up a shower curtain.... I will get pics as soon as I can....
We are just about all packed & ready to start moving.... We really can't wait.... I'm ready to just get it done & over with.... Scott is out cleaning the barn tonight (yes at 11PM....).... I cleaned out all the upper cabinets (will pack it all tomorrow)....
Starting Wednesday I will be babysitting Rylin.... for those of you who don't know, she is Tony's girl friends baby.... What a little cutie.... Just had her 1st birthday on Saturday.... Guess I should include Tony's girlfriends name.... It's Nikki....

It's just not the same....
As much as I've complained about the heavy boots on the steps, the running in and out at all hours.... I miss them....
They're not officially out yet, but Darren is staying at the new place tonight, Scottie is at work, & Tony is at Nikki's..... So it's just Scott & I, in the BIG.... QUIET.... house....
This next week will be a busy one, so my mind will be busy.....
Tomorrow is the 1st day of archery, so Scott will be in the woods until about 10AM.... then at 1PM, we have Rylin's birthday party.... After that we are home for the weekend..... Lots to do around here, before we move on Thursday.....

We had a great weekend despite the rain.... Our Moving/Yard Sale was great yesterday.... We made over $110.... The stuff that is left, I have a guy coming to pick up tomorrow.... In the evening we were invited over to Jeff & Deb's for supper.... We had to take the chickens over anyhow, so we agreed.... It was a great time....
Today we slept in a little, then relaxed ALL morning.... in the afternoon, I took the kids shopping.... It was myself, Darren, Tony, Nikki, Amy, Julie, & Chelsea.... We went to the Volunteers of America, a Halloween costume store, Wendy's for lunch & Wal~Mart.... A great time.... Those kids.... laugh, laugh.....

Cattle are gone....
We are officially bored this morning.... no animals to feed..... all that's left is the chickens (they'll be going tomorrow), then of course the cats, dog, & 2 birds....
We will spend the next 2 weeks cleaning the barn & chicken coops out.... cleaning out the garage.... and getting ready for our moving sale.... then the 1st week of October we should be moving....
The boys should be moved into their place by then.....
So many changes at 1 time.... not sure I can handle all of this.... LOL....
Anyhow.... Darren turned 18 last week.... we had a great night out.... we took him to Red Lobster, then to WalMart.... Tuesday, TJ turned 8.... we went over for her birthday supper.... Wednesday & Thursday I believe we stayed home..... Friday we went out with Chad & Jess, Dale, & Kevin.... had a great time.... Saturday was Colton's birthday party, hard to believe that little boy will be 6 tomorrow.... Yesterday, all the cattle left.... that was work in itself.....
Today, I have the basics as far as cleaning & laundry are concerned.... then after Colton goes to school, I have to run to the bank, Kreider's Mill, & Blain Supply..... I also have phone calls to make (gotta get this fuel oil tank filled, & need tire prices).... this evening I have to run to Landisburg to meet Lori & pay off my Blazer.....
So anyhow.... I'm off to get laundry started....
We will spend the next 2 weeks cleaning the barn & chicken coops out.... cleaning out the garage.... and getting ready for our moving sale.... then the 1st week of October we should be moving....
The boys should be moved into their place by then.....
So many changes at 1 time.... not sure I can handle all of this.... LOL....
Anyhow.... Darren turned 18 last week.... we had a great night out.... we took him to Red Lobster, then to WalMart.... Tuesday, TJ turned 8.... we went over for her birthday supper.... Wednesday & Thursday I believe we stayed home..... Friday we went out with Chad & Jess, Dale, & Kevin.... had a great time.... Saturday was Colton's birthday party, hard to believe that little boy will be 6 tomorrow.... Yesterday, all the cattle left.... that was work in itself.....
Today, I have the basics as far as cleaning & laundry are concerned.... then after Colton goes to school, I have to run to the bank, Kreider's Mill, & Blain Supply..... I also have phone calls to make (gotta get this fuel oil tank filled, & need tire prices).... this evening I have to run to Landisburg to meet Lori & pay off my Blazer.....
So anyhow.... I'm off to get laundry started....

We had some rain.....
Good Sunday evening..... It has been a great weekend.....
Yesterday, we got RAIN.... it was the remnants of "Hanna"..... Scott worked all day.... the boys all did their own thing.... I had the house almost all to myself.... I did my housework, then settled in and finished the book I was reading.... I had lots of time "left" until Scott was to come, so I lazied on the couch & watched a movie..... till it was over I went to feed the steer, and moved Bear to the barn (his dog house was full of water from the rain.....).... After Scott came home, we headed off to Shermans Dale to Chad & Jessica's..... Had a great time..... Chili for supper, birthday cake after that (it was her sisters birthday).....
Today, we slept in a little..... while Scott was still getting around, I went to the barn, started laundry, & loaded the dishwasher..... I then made Scott's breakfast (oatmeal & coffee)..... he read his newspaper.... Around 11, we headed out to Jeff & Deb's..... Scott helped Jeff with more chicken coop building (by the end of the week, we should be able to move chickens in).... I helped with various things.... Deb & I cleaned the car port (only to bring out Halloween decorations for the party).... made supper; ribs, chicken breast, potatoes, & cantaloupe.....
Now we are home relaxing, watching Ice Road Truckers (one of our favorite shows)......

A lot has happened....
Well lets see since I last updated.....
I've been busy canning tomatoes & pickles.... I am officially done with that.... thank goodness....
Colton started school last week.... He's such a big boy.... I've tried to upload the pics, but for some reason, I can't get it done....
There's good news on the house search..... Scott & I found a place.... It's not a farm, but that's ok.... We are selling off all the animals.... by October, we should be able to start moving.... It's a small, cute 2 bedroom cottage on 1.75 acres.... we will be buying it....
As for the boys.... they will be moving on their own.... Can you imagine? My boys.... so called ADULTS..... LOL.... they've found a nice house, 3 bedroom place.... it will be a rent to own.... I am working hard to get things together for them.... I think by the time their ready to move in, I should have everything they need to make a "home"....
So anyhow.... September is here.... can you believe it..... In 3 days my baby will be 18.... it's so hard to imagine Darren being legal as an adult.... ugh, who allows these kids to grow up? I don't like it.... In 3 weeks, Scott & I will be celebrating our 10th anniversary..... again, hard to believe.....
Anyhow, back to today..... I have to head to the barn (Scott had to be to work early...).... then I have dishes, laundry, bird cages, cat box, bathroom, & I HAVE to put laundry away....

Theres Nothing Better Than DIRT TRACK RACING!!!!
The rumble of the cars.... the mud flying....
Oh it was a great night.... We got pit passes, and were able to get within 10 feet of Kasey Kahne & Tony Stewart....
They started out the evening with the singing if the National Anthem.... The girl reminded me of the black haired sister on Dirty Dancing..... LOL....
Then just as if in cue, we had a fly over.... but instead of jets, it was a flock of geese....
Lots of good food..... and a few cool people that sat near us..... Others left a lot to be desired on who they are as people....
So anyhow.... in the main event.... Tony Stewart finished 5th & Kasey Kahne got 9th.... It was a great night had by all..... We finally pulled in the driveway at 1:30AM.... so we are dragging today... LOL....

Tuesday..... & We're headed to the races tonight....
Figured I'd better write before my Mom gets on me about it.... Although I see she hasn't written in hers in a while either..... But anyhow, back to me.....
I seem to be addicted to the new Lifetime Movie Network..... They play such good movies.... It really gets me in trouble.... LOL....
I have been busy in the garden.... and started canning tomatoes yesterday..... I have more to do today, & probably tomorrow too.... and I also have 3 five gallon buckets of cucumbers coming for pickles....
Saturday, we set up at the flea market in Port Royal.... made about $65.00.... and I bought some green peppers from the Amish.... Scott spent the day Sunday cutting & chopping for me.... We kept 1 grocery bag for stuffed peppers this week.... while Scott was chopping, Scottie & I went over the mountain.... He needed a new cell phone from verizon & I needed to get one activated for Darren with AT&T.... Well I ended up with a new phone, the LG SHINE.... I activated my old one for Darren..... Scottie never did get a new one....
But anyhow.... today will be filled with more canning.... and laundry.... I also need to plan supper for the boys.... Scott and I are going to the races down at Williams Grove..... Tony Stewart & Kasey Kahne will be there racing with the Sprint Cars.... We are so excited....
So until another day.... make it a great one....

People are soooo stupid.....
I am still so surprised at some people.... and honestly I should not have been..... but when we send in 3 steer at their request, and then they back out on you at the very last minute.... I have every right to be ticked off.... but ya know what, I'm over it.... (maybe.... lol).....
Anyhow.... I have the day off today.... so far I haven't done much of anything.... I do have a few plans for today though.... dishes, laundry, vacuum the living room & our bedroom, scrub the bathroom, & swiffer the kitchen.... Also if it dries up outside, I plan to pick tomatoes & beans....
For the weekend, we plan to set up at the 2 flea markets, of course....

Almost the weekend..........
Boy, I just haven't really felt like writing for some reason.... But gotta keep my Mom "off my back".... LOL....
Yesterday (Wednesday) I had to take Tony to the doctors, he has strep throat.... He will go back to work tomorrow.... The rest of the day was rushed, & I ended up with a bad headache.... @ 4pm, Scott came home, Paul & his son Kevin were right behind him with the trailer.... We loaded up the 3 jersey steer & sent them off to butcher.... Colton & I locked the remaining steer in the barn.... then sorted the heifers.... Around 6:30 Scott came home, Colton was gone.... So him & I went out to supper.... just down to Loysville Country Restaurant.... It's one of our favorite places..... We took the scenic route home.... It was a nice time....
Today (Thursday) was a great day.... I was able to stay home all day.... We had some rain this morning.... then the sun came out, & was beautiful for laundry drying.... all of a sudden the skies got dark, & the thunder started rumbling.... Colton & I got all the barn chores done & eggs collected just in time.... Scott said at work hey had 1/2" hail.... & in Shermans Dale a small tornado touched down....
So anyhow.... We had Jeff, Deb, & the girls over for supper this evening.... I made a sirloin tip roast, scalloped potatoes, & sweet corn.... then pudding for dessert..... oohhh, it was soooo yummy.... I'm hungry just sitting here thinking of the left overs sitting in the fridge.... LOL....
Tomorrow is Friday.... thank God.... it's been a long week.... I have a few things to accomplish before the weekend.... scrub the kitchen floor (which I guess will be done on hands & knees since I haven't gotten a new mop head).... more laundry.... bird cages.... finish cleaning the garage.... & get ready for the flea market....

Happy Birthday to Scottie.....
Well today is Scottie's 22nd birthday & my niece Alexus' 6th birthday..... Happy birthday to both of them....
I spent my day on the phone & canning tomatoes.... I also made chili (homemade) for Scottie's birthday, although he wasn't here to eat it.... He left with Katie (his friend, that just happens to be a girl).....
We were supposed to see rain today.... I was hoping for it.... but we saw nothing.... so I guess I'll be watering the garden tomorrow.....
Well, I'm off to bed..... Have a good night.....

Sunday evening.... and all is well.....
Well lets see if this surprises my Mom..... she didn't have to call and remind me to update my blog.... LOL....
We've had a very good & accomplished weekend.... We were supposed to go to flea markets both days, but didn't make it to any.... Saturday we woke to the truck gone (Tony used it, and didn't come home).... and today we were just tired, and made the "executive" decision to stay home.... So over the last 2 days we've gotten sooo much done....
- all the onions are pulled & hung....
- the weeds are all pulled & mowed around & in the garden....
- Lilly is moved and eating happily.....
- picked 1/2 a laundry basket of tomatoes....
- cleaned the basement & under the front porch....
- organized the freezers....
- went through the canning shelves (had some things to toss).....
- got all Scott & I's laundry & towels washed, dried, and put away.....
Well I am off to relax & spend some time with my hubby.... Make it a great week.....

A new month.... Welcome August.....
Can you believe it August? Scottie's birthday is in 4 days.... he'll be 22..... Also my niece Alexus...... She'll be 6..... Before we know it fall will be here.... then the dreaded winter.....
Our garden is coming along great.... We canned 7 quarts of tomatoes already..... And I've pulled about 1/2 the onions.... Beans are blossoming.....
The blazer is working great..... I'm enjoying have the freedom to go whenever I need to or want too.... We still have a few things to get done on it..... but it's all minor.....
I have finally made a decision on a job.... After searching for over a month, with no success.... I'm just going to keep babysitting..... Colton's family is happy for that.....
We are still house hunting.... we still have 5 months..... so we're not stressing out ..... yet..... A place will come to us.....
So anyhow.... Today I have laundry, a little dusting, I have to hang the onions, then I have to run to the store for water (to resell at the flea market), & swing by and pay the rent.....

it's been 11 days.....
Guess I've been busy.... and I just really haven't been in the mood to write lately.... A few things have changed....
I got a vehicle.... a 1995 Chevy Blazer.... 4 door.... maroon..... for $1,000.00 (and I get to make payments, since I just can't pull out $1,000.00 in cash....).... it has a few minor issues.... but no big deal....
Darren's truck was hauled off to the junk yard on Tuesday.... he got $300.00 for it.... now he 's saving for something else....
Tony's car has made it's way home.... Scottie is slowly fixing it up....
This past weekend Scott & I hit up 2 flea markets..... made over $300.00 for about 13 hours of "work".... Next Saturday (Aug 2nd) is another big day in Port Royal for a flea market, so weather permitting, we'll set up there again.....
I have a full day today..... dishes, laundry, swiffering the kitchen, bathroom, & living room, also dusting, & cleaning the bathroom..... and I promised Colton a ride in the "new car".....
So until another time, make it a great one!!!!!!!!!

Sunday....
Well another weekend has come and gone.... It is Sunday evening.... We are relaxing watching one of my favorite reality shows, Big Brother 10.... tonight is the first show of the season....
Mr. Moe Man (our bull) has finally made his way to a new home.... Paul & his son, Kevin, came to pick him up last night..... Scott, Jeff, and Kevin(Hart) helped them load him up.... We stopped by this evening to "visit" him.... He's a happy boy.... In a pen with 4 "women", all the silage & hay he can eat, at all times.... He's not gonna want to come home.... LOL....
Today Scott went to Jeff's and helped him work on his chicken coop.... I did some light house work, then headed over there myself.... Deb & I hung out playing online (they have DSL....).... then we all went to Little Buffalo to the lake, for some kayaking & lunch.... Of course the rain came early, & we got rained out....
I was down in the garden this evening.... checked on my garlic.... it's doing pretty good.... Looked at all my tomato "bushes".... and was finally able to get a couple cherry tomatoes that were ripe.... another week or so & the beans should be starting with blossoms, then we'll be having beans coming out our ears AGAIN.... but that's ok, we'll make some money selling them.... my onions are getting HUGE..... and they are so tasty....my pepper plants, I'm not really sure what is happening there.... but they are small still.... I guess maybe by September I might be able to get a few peppers off there.... I might try going to the amish greenhouse and see of they are still selling pepper plants..... Just to get a few good ones in the ground.....
So anyhow.... Tomorrow is Monday.... I have some important things to take care..... more packing of course.... Scott wants all the "little" things from our room packed..... I also need to call a dog groomer for Bear, since our clippers broke about 1/2 way through the job..... then I will be calling a mortgage finacial consultant.... (We're going to try and buy a place of our own....).... I would also like to get out into the garden & pull a few weeds.... the ground will be nice & soft thanks to all the rain we've had so far..... (At 8PM, we already had 1.6" in the rain gauge..... and it's still raining.....)....
Also, please remember my sister in law, Kim, in your prayers.... she's going in for surgery Tuesday, to have a new pacemaker put in.... Thank you....

Oh, it's only Wednesday.....
Could this week go any slower? Yesterday I spent half the day thinking it was Wednesday, only to get a shock when I glanced at the calender..... I am so tired today.....
We are still looking for a house.... I am waiting for a return call about a place for rent..... Hoping to get in this week sometime to look at the place..... I am going to call Lisa today .... She is the one who will be helping us with the possibilities of buying..... We'll see.....
Looks like rain today..... I need to get out & mow over at the barn..... Just a little strip there & one by the garage..... then I need to vacuum & dust the living room & bedroom.... scrub the bathroom..... move the fridge & clean behind it.... and put dishes away......

4th of July weekend....
Well another 4th of July here & gone..... Before we know it summer will be over & fall will be here.... but anyhow back to now.... We had a very busy holiday weekend.....
Thursday evening Scott and I went to the New Bloomfield carnival..... But there was no enjoying that.... once we got there, the rain just came down like crazy....
Friday we were up & out of the house by 7:30.... We were helping Dale & Lori move from Loysville to New Bloomfield..... their new house is BEAUTIFUL!!!! in the evening we had some friends over.... BBQ'd & played holey board till 1AM!!!!
Saturday we did minimal work.... We were so tired from the move on Friday..... We talked of going to the flea market like usual, but realized we had more important things to get done....
So today (Sunday) we stayed home..... the baby goats needed a good layer of bedding, so that was first thing, after feeding of course.... We also finished butchering the last of the meat chickens.... all 14 of them.... Kevin was here to help..... we also got most of the garage cleaned out, & bunch of old boxes, trash, & tires burnt..... Now Scott & I are sitting here watching Ice Road Truckers.....
Tomorrow, back to work for everyone..... I have a big day planned.... scrub the kitchen/bathroom floors, weed flower beds, balance the check book & pay some bills, water all my hanging baskets, weed the garden (between the onion, garlic, & tomatoes)..... And Kevin is coming down in the morning to mow & weedwack for me..... All I have to do is make him lunch (and provide the gas, and mower....)..... I will also have Colton here.....
Well, I am off here to relax a little before heading to bed..... Have a great Monday everyone.....

It's Monday, It's Humid, & I'm Tired......
We had a full weekend..... A lot got done..... And we were able to visit with friends too....
Friday evening, we put fresh bedding in the heifer pens at the barn..... Saturday, Scott worked.... So I did my basic cleaning, laundry, etc.... & picked some peas..... After Scott came home from work, we fed all the animals.... then went to Shermans Dale to the store..... we needed bags & freezer paper for chicken butchering...... We stopped in at Chad & Jess', they got back from their honeymoon & had some gifts for us.... We had a great time.... visiting, & eating.... Sunday we spent a few hours butchering chickens.... Well actually Scott did most of the work.... He killed, skinned, cleaned out, & cut up.... All I had to do was a little more clean up, & pack it away.... We got 8 done.... Then Jeff & Deb brought pizza over, and visited a while....
Today I have a bunch of things I want to get done.... dishes, laundry, vacuum living room & bedroom, swiffer kitchen & bathroom, clean back porch, put laundry away, and dust..... Tonight Scott will butcher 5 more chickens.... these are his Mom's.... she'll be here to take them home to finish them & freeze.....
Well, I better get a jump in the day.....It's Monday.... Make it a great one!

Guess I better give an update.....
Since I kinda got yelled at by my Mama for not updating......
It has been a busy couple of weeks..... We've gotten over the shock of having to move, and of course are diving in head first looking for a place..... Scott spoke with a real estate agent last evening.... We may look into buying our own place.....
The wedding was nice last week..... Such a wonderful time....
This past week has been full of rain.... almost everyday..... I'm not complaining though, the garden needs it..... We finally got the garden done.... oh wait I still have cucumbers to get in.... maybe I can work on that today..... We started picking peas already..... That's something else I need to work on today.....
Today I was supposed to go to a horse show.... TJ's first ever..... but Scott took the truck this morning.... So I'll be home all day..... oh well..... that's not all bad, with gas prices the way the are.....
Well, I'm done updating for now.... Just not really in the mood for it today..... LOL.... unti lnext time..... Make it a great Saturday..........

What a blow after a great day....
We had a great Sunday..... Scott had decided he wanted the "day off" from the flea market, so we stayed home.... I made him breakfast; biscuits, sausage gravy, eggs, coffee, & orange juice..... After breakfast he relaxed in his recliner until after 12.....
We then went to work in the garden..... Till the day was done we had 4 ~ 56' rows of beans.....
Around 6:00 while sitting at the table, the phone rings..... I answered it..... It was Maria (the manager of our place).... What we thought was going to be long term here on Stony Point Rd, has been cut short..... With the economy so bad, our landlord can not allow his son to borrow thousands from a bank for a house, when he has this place here....
It was a HUGE shock to us of course.... After a while, we had time to think & talk.... and we understand completely..... If the roles were turned, we would do the exact same thing.... So anyhow, now the search is on for a new place..... Maria said she may have a place for us, closer to town, for around the same price we pay here....
Anyhow, life goes on.... We will find a new place, we will move, we will be happy....

Boy is it humid!!!!
Didn't sleep very well last night..... So humid....
Anyhow, it's Saturday..... Scott is working, the boys are all still sleeping..... I have a few things to do around here..... ~dishes ~make the bed ~vacuum the living room ~sweep the kitchen & bathroom floors ~get something out for supper...... then I plan to hit a few yard sales and stop at the grocery store.....
Tonight after supper, we need to haul feed into the feed boxes, put fresh bedding into the heifer pens, and stake up the tomato plants.....
Tomorrow is Sunday (Father's Day)..... We will spend the day at the flea market.....
So anyhow, until another time.... I'm off here to get my day going.... Make it a great one!!!!

Finally Friday......
Well it is Friday..... I am excited! Why? I have no idea.... this week has been a little trying to say the least.... between the heat, Colton's attitude, Darren's trip to Ocean City, and just basic stuff, I'm ready for the weekend....
Last night we set up a small chicken coop & fencing for the rest of the chickens that were at the barn..... Now ALL my chickens are on this side of the house....
Today I have only a few things to do.... ~dishes ~vacuum ~laundry ~mow ~and possibly organize the basement...... I will also be without phone/internet at some point today.... Embarq is coming out today to replace the lines from the pole to the house.... Lets hope I have faster internet connection when they're all done......
Well I really should get a jump on my things to do.... I have TJ here today, let's hope her and Colton can play nice together..... I'm not in the mood to use timeout today..... LOL!

Colton's T~Ball
Thought I'd upload a pic of Colton up to bat.... we went to this evenings game..... It brought back so many memories of when the boys were small....
Half way through the week!
Well I did try to update yesterday, it actually said it saved & posted, but now that I check, it's not there.... Hmmm.....
Anyhow, I've had a few issues with my internet..... Friday ~ Monday I was unable to do anything online...... I've called my phone company, they'll be here Friday to replace the lines from the pole to the house..... We'll see if that helps.....
Friday was the last day of school..... I'm kinda glad for it..... Now it's not so much of a rush in the morning..... Scott had a 3 day weekend, Friday & Saturday he hunted groundhog...... he walked & walked.... but saw nothing.... the winner of the contest came in with only 6..... wasn't the best of weather, too HOT!!!!
We had a great day Sunday at the flea market.... it was HOT though..... we sold water, & soda too.... sold out of 2 cases of water by 9:30AM..... We made about $115.00, and was packed up & gone by 12:45PM.... In the afternoon we went swimming at Dale & Lori's...... It was NICE!
Monday, again HOT!! Colton & I went swimming at Dale & Lori's..... he swam almost the whole time we were there, 5 1/2 hours...... in the evening we went to Scott's Mom's for supper, and Scott fixed her lawn mower......
Tuesday, yes you've guessed it.... HOT!!!! Colton and I did a bunch of things around the house..... in the afternoon, we started barn chores early to get them done before Scott came home..... while at the barn, Colton's dad came (early)..... that was kinda nice..... I finished up, just as Scott was coming down the road..... Kevin came over to visit...... We had decided to go out to eat.... So we went to the Blain Hotel (Scott, myself, Kevin, & Tony).... Kevin treated! that was nice..... While at supper, it rained..... Not a lot, but enough...... After supper, we weeded the garden.....
Today will be a day of dusting, scrubbing floors, vacuuming, & re potting a few plants outside...... Tonight we may go to Colton's game..... It's his last home game..... We also need to get the grass mowed, & finish re tilling the garden......

2" of rain in 2 days.......
Yes that's right.... 2" in 2 days.... Everything is pretty wet.... But here come the 90's.... Everything will dry out QUICK!!!!
Last night we put up most of the new fence and set up the electric for the steer pasture.... Tonight we just have to go straight across to block off the wooded area..... then out they go....
Today Colton and I have a lot to get done.... Fresh bedding for both heifer pens, the goat pen, and the meat chickens pen.... We also have a row of red beets to get in the garden.... and a bag full of iris' to plant.... If we have time, we will weed the flower beds too.... I also have laundry to get done....
Tomorrow is the last day of school for West Perry..... I think I'm just as excited as T.J. is..... 2 1/2 months without having to walk to the bus.... Hard to believe summer is actually here....

The sun is trying to peak through.......
Maybe I can get a load of laundry out yet..... I really miss not being able to put any out....
Colton has my living room ripped apart so he could make a "fort".... oh well, he's having fun....
I cleaned my whole bathroom, scrubbed the kitchen floor, did a complete change over of the cat box, & made my bed this morning.... I know some of these items were on yesterdays list, but it was just too nice out yesterday to stay in and clean..... After the floor dries, I might go back over it for an extra scrub..... I also need to vacuum the living room & my bedroom... also all my window sills....
I spent a while yesterday clipping coupons and comparing them with sales flyers.... I have always been a "tightwad" but now even more so..... with gas at $4.00/ gallon, I've got to save any way I can.... the amish store provides a great savings for me on most items.... but if I can combine a trip, and use my coupons plus mail in rebates to get something cheaper, I will.... Rite Aid and Dollar General both offer great mail in rebates.... It's worth the extra time I spend....
My garden is coming along great.... I guess I'll be putting in another row of beets.... I already have one row (and I'm the only one who eats them), so I thought I'd give Jeff the rest of the seeds, but he has some already.... I am hoping to be able to sell my "extra" produce this year....
I need to spend about an hour downstairs organizing my 3 freezers, I may be able to shut one off.... I need to take "inventory" on what I have.... I may need to order another pig soon.... My chickens will soon be ready for butchering.... I also need to take inventory of my pantry shelf, for BBQ sauce, ketchup, etc....
Well I'm off to check my kitchen floor... Make it a productive Wednesday....

Oh no... this country is in trouble....
I just read that Clinton will concede to Obama tonight.... Although I am not a democrat, I would have felt a little "safer" with Clinton..... Obama just plain out scares me....

It's a bright and beautiful day already.... High's in the 80*'s for today.... Rain coming tonight & tomorrow....
I have to work more in the garden.... We were hoping to get it all done Sunday, but of course things happen.... I have to get my beans & cucumbers in yet.... I am getting free strawberry plants from Lori, that will be nice in years to come....
We went last night and got fencing & posts off of Dale & Lori.... some of the posts we will use in the pasture by the barn.... the rest will go to another chicken run.... We also went to Blain Supply last night to pick up some feed I needed.... While there something caught my eye in the first aisle.... It was a food mill, to make sauces, babyfood, etc.... I've been wanting one, since I borrowed Deb's 2 years ago to make my applesauce.... But haven't been able to find them for under $100.00.... this was $49.95.... It's sitting in my kitchen... I can't wait until fall for apples....
Today I have lots to get done... I have a load of towels out on the line already, plus I have Scottie's laundry, Darren's laundry, and Darren's sheets to get done & out on the line.... I am also hoping to vacuum out the window sills, scrub the woodwork in the bathroom, change the catbox, scrub the kitchen floor, change the bird cages, & vacuum the living room.... Plus I have gardening & flowers to transplant outside.....
Guess I better get going.... things don't clean themselves.... Have a great Tuesday.....

80* and Sunny....
Yes, that's the forecast for today...... A perfect day for the flea market..... But we are home.... We have so much to do around here.....
I have some house work to get done, a few loads of laundry..... Then garden work.... Scott is going to "retill" the garden..... I am hoping to get most of everything in today..... I do need to get more mushroom soil......
Yesterday, Scott worked till 4..... While he worked Darren and I went over the mountain.... He wanted to get his lip repierced.... while we were there I had the guy change my nose ring..... the old one kept trying to fall out..... At 5:30 we went to Dale & Lori's..... It was great..... It had been a long time since we "hung out"...... We had burgers and sausages.... chips.... and salads..... Scott & Dale played holy board..... Lori & I just visited..... Then came the topic of having a fire.... All their wood was wet, so we came to our place..... Had a HUGE fire..... it was awesome..... They are coming over at some point today, for more hanging out.....
Well, the cattle are "screaming"..... so I guess that means we should go feed..... Have a great Sunday.....

Calling for rain today....
But who am I to complain..... We need the rain, the sun, the heat.... to make everything grow....
Our garden is doing great! Scott re~tilled the row where I had planted broccoli.... it never grew, so I'll be putting my garlic in that row.... hoping to get that done today..... I think the tomato plants grew overnight..... they doubled in size....... I still have beans, beets, cukes, & carrots to get in this week.....
Darren's truck went to the transmission guy this week.... it ended up being the torque converter froze up.... that is something easy & cheap to fix at home.... So we have to run out there to grab that today..... He'll make the truck work until he can save for a newer car.....
I might try to hit a few yard sales before the rain comes.... maybe.... I do have a lot to get done inside today..... We are going to Dale & Lori's this evening for supper, and just to hang out.... It's been a while since we've seen them.....
Well I'm off to get something done.... Making the most of a rainy day....
Our garden is doing great! Scott re~tilled the row where I had planted broccoli.... it never grew, so I'll be putting my garlic in that row.... hoping to get that done today..... I think the tomato plants grew overnight..... they doubled in size....... I still have beans, beets, cukes, & carrots to get in this week.....
Darren's truck went to the transmission guy this week.... it ended up being the torque converter froze up.... that is something easy & cheap to fix at home.... So we have to run out there to grab that today..... He'll make the truck work until he can save for a newer car.....
I might try to hit a few yard sales before the rain comes.... maybe.... I do have a lot to get done inside today..... We are going to Dale & Lori's this evening for supper, and just to hang out.... It's been a while since we've seen them.....

Saturday, and the sun is shining......
Well yesterday was Tony's 19th b~day..... We had burgers & dogs on the grill for him.... He received a couple cards, and 1 e~card..... He left for NY last evening..... He will get to see his baby sister for the first time..... She will be 3 months old next week....
I have a few things to get done here at the house today..... I want to wash the sheets and get them outside on the lines..... I will also head to Deb's for a hair cut this morning..... Tonight I have a "party" to go to.... like pampered chef..... Tomorrow we head to the flea market.... Should have a good crowd..... Monday we may be heading out to a new flea market..... We are still trying to find all the info about it.....

The start to the "BIG" Memorial Day weekend!
It is Friday..... we all have a LONG weekend..... It seems the weather around here will be beautiful......
The past 2 days have been "horrible".... I have not been home, and we all know how much I hate that.... But that is in the past.... we will not dwell on it now.... I can only look forward......
Today, I have a ton of housework to do.... and lots of laundry..... I also want to get some morning glories planted & the front yard mowed.....
Our weekend will be full of "Flea Marketing"..... Selling anyhow.... I may set up a yard sale in my yard tomorrow.... A neighbor is having one, up back the road..... So who knows.......
Well I am not really into writing today, and I have LOTS to get done.... I will update again when I have more time..... Enjoy the sunshine!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's Tuesday, & it's raining!!!!
We woke to a gray gloomy sky this morning..... By 7:15 it was raining, and hasn't stopped yet..... I have all my hanging baskets & potted plants sitting out getting "watered" without any work from me..... The peas and onions are HUGE!!!! Guess all this rain is worth it for that.....
Yesterday everyone worked, of course.... Except Scottie, he had Jury Duty..... actually it was just juror selection.... He was not picked for any cases..... I made chili for supper in the crock pot..... We are having that again today, Scott & I were the only 2 that ate last night..... I got 4 new baby chicks last night.... Actually they were hatched from eggs from my hens & rooster.... A while back there was this older couple in the feed store buying an incubator.... and asking if anyone knew where they could get some eggs..... So I spoke up & said that I had eggs..... They came by and bought 18 eggs..... I told them that I could not promise that they were even fertilized.... I do have a rooster, but I was told 1 rooster can only "service" 10 hens.... I have 20 hens..... So anyhow.... 5 of the 18 eggs hatched.... 1 baby died the day after hatching..... they are 2 weeks old now..... So they brought them back to me..... even brought me a 25lb bag of chick starter, and a bag of compressed saw dust..... She wouldn't take any money for any of it.....
Today I am doing basic cleaning, and laundry (hanging it in the basement)...... Have a great day.....

Monday, Monday....
It's Monday, again..... It always shows up.... week after week..... Why is it no one ever looks forward to Mondays? At least it's not raining too....
We had a pretty good weekend.... Friday night we went to the Loysville auction..... picked up a few things for ourselves, but mostly things to resell at the flea market.... box lots are great buys, at $2 each, then we mark the box as $1 box (each item is $1 each)....
Saturday Scott had to work, all day..... I had the truck for the day.... I ran to Blain, then to the amish store for a few groceries..... then decided to go find some yard sales.... No luck, So I stopped at the Family Dollar.... I picked up Scott at work at 4:45pm.... we had supper (steak & seasoned potatoes on the grill).... then we cleaned out the barn.... the barn stalls are all squeaky clean now..... LOL....
Yesterday, we were supposed to go to the flea market.... when we got up at 3:30am, we watched the weather channel... big storm heading in from the west.... So we called Jeff, and then Chad... everyone agreed.... no flea market this weekend.... so we went back to bed.... We had a lazy day..... did the basics of feeding the animals, some dishes, & 2 loads of laundry.... other than that, TV was it for us....
Today, is breezy & a little chilly.... but the sun is shining.... So I'm not complaining.... I have laundry to get done and out on the line..... I also have some morning glories & moon flowers to get planted..... If the grass dries out, I may try to push mow this afternoon too.....

Is it really only Thursday?
I woke with a bad headache this morning.... And if I try to turn my head to the left, I get a sharp pain in my neck.... Must have slept wrong.... I did take some motrin about 30 minutes ago, so we'll see how it goes.... I have a lot I'd like to get done today, mostly little things, but it all adds up......
We've had a busy couple a days..... I made a new flower bed by the garage, complete with mountain stone around it..... I planted a few marrigolds & pansies in pots, and put wildflower seed in to grow..... Finally finished the flower bed around the barn..... Colton and I dug out the mountain stone yesterday for it..... I do want to plant a few morning glories over there yet..... Last night Scott & I put weedcloth & mushroom soil around all our tomato plants & in the walkways in the garden..... We had some extra mushroom soil so we brought it out to the front yard & used it around the electric pole in my front yard.... I tried having a flower bed there last year, but weeds took over, FAST..... so this year we put the weedcloth down then the mushroom soil..... When I'm ready to plant, I'll just dig through the mushroom soil & cut an X in the weedcloth & plant.....
Scott started cleaning out the barn (well the one outside pen anyhow....).... tonight we plan to get all the barn stalls cleaned & re~bedded..... Won't take long once we get started.....
It was confirmed there was bear at the neighbors house..... She had 3 rabbits "stolen", and a few cages destoyed..... She called the cops, thinking a person did it.... they ended up finding the bear tracks coming in & going out..... Another neighbor saw it last night......
I am off here, maybe get a few things done before Colton gets here...... Have a great day!

Sorry for my absence.......
I am sorry for not writing very regularly.... With spring in full swing here were are busier than ever...... This place is really coming along.... a far cry from the way it looked when we moved in almost 2 years ago...... We are still cleaning up piles of messes from former tenets......
My flower beds are nicer than ever.... I seem to be coming along with a "green thumb"..... I am more patient now with things..... It really makes a difference...... The garden is coming along really nice..... We are putting down weed mat & mushroom soil, between each plant & each row too.....
Oh yeah, for those of you that haven't heard yet.... We had another calf born last week..... A bull calf..... I let T.J. name him..... Carl..... what a cutie......
Last week I went out and got myself 3 nice hanging baskets..... I told Scott that was good enough for Mother's Day..... Tony brought me home a beautiful hanging basket..... So now I have 4.... enough to cover the front porch.....
Tonight Scott built me a new pen for the baby goats...... it is nice.... and they seem to enjoy all the extra space..... Tomorrow I plan to move the 27 meat birds to their new home (where the baby goats were)..... they need more room..... they are almost completely feathered now..... and getting BIG!...... I also need to clean out the rabbit hutch & clean out the big steer waterer.....
Well that is all for now..... I have a few more things to get done this evening..... Good night.....

May 3rd.......
Well, another Saturday is here and started...... It's overcast and gloomy..... Scott was supposed to work today, but he is home.... Clee gave him the day off (well on call anyhow)...... he will have next Saturday off too for a tux fitting.... then he works the next 3 Saturdays.......
So anyhow, we will get Lilly's "winter" pen cleaned out today, and get the babies put in there..... then I will clean out the babies old pen, and move the meat chicks in there.... Maybe we will clean out the rest of the barn today too.... It does need done.....
I also have a few things to do inside the house today..... dust, vacuum, & get rid of cobwebs...... Maybe I can get Scott to put up my ceiling fan...... We got it at the auction last night for $5.00...... brand new still in the box.....
The auction was good last night.... We bought quite a few things to resell, and a few things for ourselves..... I got a beautiful dresser, that almost matches my bed, & other dresser..... for only $25.00, it is taller than me.....
So anyhow, this is not getting my day going..... Have a great Saturday.....

Nicest day of the week.....
Today is Wednesday..... the sun is shining.... the breeze is blowing.... A great day for laundry on the line....
Last night Scott mowed the grass.... and I cleaned flower beds.... the by the barn was the worse.... I hadn't touched it at all yet this year.... everything looks great now.... I'll have to get some pictures....
Colton's first t~ball game is tonight.... he's so excited.... we'll be going to that....
I have quite a bit I want to get done today.....
~ vacuum the living room & bedroom
~ scrub the kitchen floor
~ clean the bathroom & scoop the catbox
~ laundry (of course)

Rain, again!
Once again, it is raining.... I guess we're to get about inch or so..... Saturday night we got about 2.5 inches..... And yesterday was chilly & cloudy ALL day..... I guess we really shouldn't complain.... In just a few short months, we'll be wishing & praying for rain.....
Our weekend was good....
Saturday morning Scott hunted turkey.... He says he heard one, but no shots taken.... While he was hunting, I took care of all the feeding, finished loading the trailer for the flea market, went through the boxes of things we picked up at the auction Friday evening, planted a 1/2 row of broccoli, and cleaned up the house.... Then I relaxed on my front porch swing and read..... In the afternoon, we ordered subs, and ran to the local hardware store in New Germantown to pick up a few mower blades..... After we ate, Scott hooked up the lights (the right way) for the trailer to the truck, we also got the trailer covered with a tarp, and loaded all our tables.... By this time the skies were getting DARK..... we hurried and fed at the barn, collected eggs, etc.... then in for the evening.... Just in time for the Heavens to open up..... thunder, lightening, and LOTS of rain.....
Sunday of course was our 1st trip to the flea market for the season.... It was a great time, even though it never did warm up like they forcasted..... we made good money, and got a few good deals of our own while there.... We packed up & were out of there before 2.... of course we had to stop at Wal~Mart.... We were so tired when we got home, that we both just vegged for an hour.... It's Wednesday......
Here is a pic of the cattle out in the pasture... and Scott at the garden.... This was taken Sunday while it was raining..... From right to left : Blossom (born day after Christmas), Shiner (next to calf, soon I hope), Dipper, Flower (Blossom's mama), Mo (Big Daddy), & Patchy....
Yesterday was a good day.... I got a lot accomplished during the day, everything I wanted to, plus some! Made Chicken Cassarole for supper (Boneless chicken breast, egg noodle, corn, cream of mushroom, & milk; baked all together)....
Last night Scott moved the trailer out into the driveway & helped me unload everything..... I spent the next 2 hours sorting through flea market stuff.... wiping things off, re~boxing it all, and re~stacking in the trailer..... While I was busy into that, Scott started cleaning out the garage.... the 1st bay is done & the trailer is back in there.... We had 2 skid loader buckets full to burn.....
Today I am washing things to put back in the trailer for the flea market..... Then I have dishes, Scottie's laundry, regular bathroom cleaning, fill the bird feeders, sweep the kitchen & bathroom, and vacuum the living room..... I also need to get outside and clean up the picnic table and the yard around it..... I'm not sure what's for supper yet, I asked Scott what he wants and got the typical answer "whatever you make is fine with me".... It's to be 74* and sunny today, maybe steaks on the grill.....

This is the view from one of my living room windows.... I just love it....
Well today is Tuesday; Colton will not be here today.... He's with his Mom & brother on a trip to Lancaster...... He had kindergarten registration last night.... When I ran into Barry at the gas station he said Colton was doing pretty good.... So guess I'll find out more tomorrow.....
Today I have lots I want to get done..... The bathroom is in need of a complete scrub down, the kitchen floor needs scrubbed, I have 3 plastic totes of winter stuff that needs to head to the basement, finish weeding a few flower beds, plant some gladiola bulbs, and "clean" my bedroom...... and of course I am doing laundry....

This beautiful weather.....
Really gets people motivated....
Friday evening we finally finished fixing the fence, and Scott cleared most of the brush and briers from around the fencing..... Then at about 11:30PM, the skid loader got stuck, in the crick.....
Saturday, Scott had to work... so I had the truck all day.... I ran to the Dollar Store & to Karn's..... Only because Scott needed a new coffee pot (his broke that morning).... I then spent the rest of the day cleaning, doing laundry, & planting flowers..... Around 4:00, Pappy dropped Scott off... Time to get the skid loader out of the crick..... It ended up me using the truck to pull it out.... Jeff & Deb came over for a cookout.... Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Chips, Mac Salad, Soda, & Tea to eat..... (great now I'm hungry again!)..... After we ate, Scott & Jeff were outside and decided to move the big cattle to the pasture.... All went well for the most part.... Flower & Blossom decided to give us a run; well them anyhow, I was in the truck acting as a "gate" for the pasture....
Sunday, we spent the morning moving the water trough to the pasture for the cows, moved the meat chicks to the barn (they were starting to "stink" up my house).... Then the rain came pouring down.... We sat for a while in the barn watching the animals.... We spent the rest of the afternoon in the house watching the Discovery Channel, Deadliest Catch....
Today, was Monday of course..... I put T.J. on the bus, Colton got here early.... Him and I worked hard today... He loves helping me.... We changed the living room around, vacuumed under everything, really dusted everything..... I washed the flannel sheets and they're hanging on the line.... Tonight Scott mowed the whole lawn, while I ran to town for banking, to pick up lunch meat, and fill the truck with gas..... When I got back, he was still mowing, so I weeded almost all my flower beds..... We are now watching a Hallmark movie that was on last night, we DVR'd it.... It's called "Sweet Nothing in my Ear".... So far a great movie.....

April 18th!
Isn't this weather wonderful! I have ALL the windows open, 2nd day in a row..... spring/summer sheets are finally on the line, and ready to go on the bed..... I spent some time yesterday & today planting seeds.... I am now done with planting until May..... Unless I decide to throw in a row of potatoes to have some fresh throughout the summer....
Last night Scott did more work on the drain, he finished the pipe out to the pasture & leveled out the ground.... He also fixed some fence posts that had come out of the ground.... While he was busy doing that, I went with Jess to David's Bridal.... Dress alterations..... Just the hem needs adjusted on mine.... about 3 ~ 4 inches off.....
We hope to have the cattle out in the pasture by Sunday.... I can't wait to see little Blossom out for the first time.... Tonight we are moving the baby meat chicks to the barn.... They are little "poop" machines..... so out of my living room they go..... 8 weeks till butcher time!
Last night Scott did more work on the drain, he finished the pipe out to the pasture & leveled out the ground.... He also fixed some fence posts that had come out of the ground.... Tuesday.....
The sun is shining.... the birds are chirping.... but it is COLD outside!!!!
I have a good start to the day.... All the animals are fed, I showered before it was daylight, and laundry is started.....
The rest of my day will consist of: dishes, more laundry, cleaning out the box & getting things ready for the new chicks coming tonight, take a bag of mash to the chicken coop, plant my lettuce & radishes, cleaning the bathroom & scooping the cat box, and scrub my kitchen floor....
I also have a few phone calls to make.... I need to get idea's about getting a farm sign made....

Progress.....
We've accomplished a lot the past couple days.....
The garden is started..... We've got 3 - 56' rows of onions, and 2 - 56' rows of peas in..... I've also got 48 tomato plants, 140 pepper seeds & 36 broccoli seeds started..... I do need to get my lettuce, radishes, & herbs in yet..... Everything else waits till May......
The baby goats have an outdoor exercise pen, on nice days they spend the whole day outside.... Eating grass, and playing!
Tonight we moved the baby chicks to the barn.... they outgrew their box in the house, and were feathered pretty well.... we did set up the heat lamp for them..... I did find out their breed..... Delaware Chickens..... the hens lay a nice big brown egg, and the roosters get nice size for butchering.....
Tomorrow my 25 meat chicks come in.... Yeah, more "peeping" in the living room! LOL!!
Well I'll post more tomorrow.... maybe even some more pics of everyone!

The SUN IS SHINING!!!!!
Well today the sun is finally shining, for the first time in 4 days!!!!
Last night we finally got that old tiller running.... Yes it's ancient but hey it was free, and seems to do a good job..... So while Scott was tilling the garden, I did dishes & planted 24 broccoli seeds.....
Today I have just a few things I need to get done..... Laundry is all caught up, so today I will take the throw blankets from the living room..... (Scott tightened my clothesline, so I can hang things without worrying about them dragging the ground)..... I think I also might wipe down my kitchen cabinets, and my woodwork in the kitchen....
Tonight Colton has t~ball, so I will run him to that.... then come back and help Scott in the garden where I can.....
The baby chicks are getting BIG!!! I've got to put something over the top of the box, they keep flying out! LOL! They are so cute though.... I still have no idea what breed they are, or if the are hens or roosters..... The 3 new hens I have in the chicken coop are doing well..... Everyone seems to be getting along.... Theres still a little "pecking" order being established.... The kid goats are getting big..... Drinking 3 bottles a day..... I am keeping hay & grain available at all times right now, so they can get used to it.....

Well it's Tuesday.... seems like it should be so much later in the week....
Last night I got my hair cut, and we hung out for a few minutes with Jeff & Deb....
Today wasn't too exciting... I spent the day cleaning the baby chicks, feeding the kid goats, my regular housework, and laundry.... At 5:00 we left here for Colton's 1st day of t~ball.... after practice & his Mom showed up, Scott & I went to the local pizza place for supper... When we got home I came in and cleaned out the coffee pot, and washed the kid milk bottles.... Scott installed his new hitch on our utility trailer.... Now we are relaxing....
Can't wait until Sunday, hoping to get out to the flea market for the first time this season!
