It's Monday!

Here it is Monday morning.... I am still having stomach issues...... Was up most of the night because of it...... I do seem to have my regular amount of energy though..... I've already fed the dog, chickens, birds, and cat.... I've vacuumed the living room, and scrubbed the kitchen floor...... All I have left to do is clean my bathroom, scoop the cat box and empty the dishwasher...... I was going to hang laundry out on the line, but my clothes pins are frozen in the snow...... So everything will get hung in the basement....... It is sunny out today and to be 44*......

Scott took care of the barn this morning without me....... He was up late last night, about 11 or so..... Waiting to find out what the Nascar officials were going to do...... I guess they decided to postpone it after running only 21 laps...... So I've got to record it today for him......

The house is quiet right now..... Scottie's in bed for the day...... Tony, Darren, & Scott are all working..... TJ's in school..... Colton is relaxing watching Tom & Jerry.......

I am sick....... again.....

Well once again, I'm sick...... Awoke suddenly in the middle of the night, stomach issues...... By morning I was a feeling a little better..... So I got my shower and headed to Shermans Dale.... There was a bridal show in Mechanicsburg that Jessica wanted me to go to with her...... After we got there, my stomach started up again..... run to the bathroom...... We started walking around again, and it got worse.... I almost passed out..... I got really cold, but my face was hot, Jessica said my face turned completely white..... I also could not hear anything at that moment..... After a minute, I was able to make my way back the bathroom...... We ended up leaving early, I couldn't take it anymore...... I called home, Darren drove Scott to Shermans Dale, to drive me home...... Now I'm on the couch in my jammies, eating crackers...... I did go to the barn, just had to see my babies!

So anyhow, I'm getting off here..... Have a great rest of the day.......

Wow! What a Friday!

Yesterday morning we awoke to snow on the ground and schools closed.... No TJ and no Colton..... I had the day to myself basicly..... My computer almost "crashed" yesterday..... I turned it on, and all I got was a blue screen saying there had been an error.... Couldn't go any farther.... I was kinda "lost" without my computer for the day.... Scott came home at lunch and took it to Deb's Dad's for fixing.... We thought a complete "wipe out" would be needed.... But he was able to fix it with the whole restart.... I had it back when Scott came home from work....

So anyhow, I spent my Friday cleaning here and there.... putting laundry away..... and watching some t.v...... At 4:30 I headed to do chored..... Fed and played with Bear for a while, he loves the snow..... Then went to the chicken coop, gave them their treat of cracked corn, checked there water, collected eggs, (up to 9 a day now), and thanked the girls for their hard work..... Then to the barn..... by 5:00I was back in the house, just in time for the phone to ring.....

It was Shannon..... I talk to her everyday, sometimes for hours..... She wanted to update me on what happened after we got off the phone at 2:30..... The kids had been outside playing, sledding, etc... She yelled and said "time to come in", Jacob ended up crashing into the backporch or the patio (one of the two).... but anyhow at trip to the E.R. was needed.... they suspect a sprain, but if he's not walking on it by Monday, they have to go back.... by then the sweeling should be down, and they can get a better look at it..... Poor kid.....

Last night we had a "fend for yourselves" night for supper.... Scott and I both didn't feel good.... So we had some ramen noodles, and hot tea...... We went to bed at 8:00..... Slept until 6:00 this morning.... We both felt better!

So anyhow.... today is Saturday, Scott is working, Scottie just got home at 5:30, he's playing Playstation, Tony & Darren are both still sleeping..... I have a few things to get done.... Scrub the kitchen floor, vacuum the living room, clean out the bird cages, and empty the dishwasher.... We are having spagetti for supper, so I need to get the sauce going soon....

WOW is it COLD!!!!

Well it was 8* this morning when I headed out to the barn... Scott was leaving at that time, he had to be to work at 6..... I guess we'll be seeing a storm tomorrow.... Again! Not sure when I'll get some grocery shopping done..... I am making my list and going through coupons today....

I will also organize my cubboards and pantry shelves.... Kinda take inventory of what I have and need.....

Most of my work is done for the day already.... All animal chores are done, laundry is washed and hanging on the racks, dishwasher is done, counters & table are cleaned off, and the living room is vacuumed.... So all I have left is swiffering the kitchen floor, clean my bathroom, and scoop the cat box....

Last night we had ham slices, fried potatoes, and broccoli in cheese sauce for supper.... Tonight we will have boneless ribs, mashed potatoes, not sure what for veggie yet, and maybe a salad....

After supper I put our laundry away, then went out and helped burn trash..... We had about 200 feed bags from the barn, then about 6 bags from the house (it's been too windy to burn).... after that Scott taught me how to drive the skidloader.... It was fun, and easy!

The sun is shining; the birds are chirping.....

But it is COLD out there..... I was a bit shocked!...... It's about 14* out there..... BRRRRR!

Anyhow, we have been busy here..... Saturday Scott finally got his skidloader..... that's been his dream since we moved here almost 2 years ago..... Thanks to our friend Jeff, it was all made possible..... I will post pics when I get them taken...... We spent the rest of the day Saturday cleaning out the barn..... We were tired after that..... In bed by 9PM!!!!

Sunday morning Scott & Jeff went to Harrisburg to get the rest of the fuel oil we bought.....We now have a full fuel oil tank!! I cleaned, did laundry, etc..... In the afternoon we went to Jeff & Deb's for the Daytona 500...... We made meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and green bean cassarole.

Monday & Tuesday were full of regular cleaning, barn chores, etc.... etc..... Although I was fighting a computer virus until last night...... Thanks to Deb's Dad..... We got it all taken care of.....

Today I have to finish some laundry, load & run the dishwasher, scrub the kitchen floor (thanks to the boys!), and I want to get my computer "cleaned" out..... by saving pics, songs, etc to cd's.......

I am making ham steaks, mashed potatoes, and broccoli in cheese sauce for supper....

FRIDAY!!!!

I had a very nice Valentine's day...... Scott brought me home a card, a heart box of Hershey kisses, a box of junior mints, and a TY beanie baby...... I got him a card.... and we got each of the boys a card and a box of chocolates.....

I got a lot done yesterday..... So today I only have laundry, run the dishwasher, and clean the bathroom...... Although I do need to go over the kitchen floor again, Jeff walked in with muddy boots......

Scott goes today at 1:45 for his stress test..... He was kinda grumpy this morning, without his coffee...... Tomorrow he goes for his skidloader..... He's so excited..... Then Sunday we will finish getting that fuel oil from over the mountain......

Sunday is also the Daytona 500! I can't wait!

I see SUNSHINE!

Well first off let me begin by saying Happy Valentine's Day....... Colton brought everyone little valentine's that he made out himself, and Jell-O jiggler hearts.....

Yesterday afternoon I had some "excitement"...... I was sitting in the living room watching t.v. and the boys were out in the garage trying to get one of the snow mobiles running...... All of a sudden I heard this roaring noise....... I went to look out the back door, thinking I'd see a sled go by..... Well what I saw was water spraying all over my back porch...... the pipes that used to go to my washer (we've since moved that to the basement) burst....... Water everywhere...... I ran to the basement looking for the water shut off...... Couldn't find it anywhere...... (I wasn't looking in the right place.....) anyhow, I tried calling Scott on his cell, but they were at the shop and he didn't have reception...... So I yelled for the kids, to bring buckets..... Finally I found the main shut off to the house...... We would deal with no water in the whole house till Scott come home..... He found the shut off to just the back porch.....

Last night we had a simple supper of egg salad sandwiches, and pickles...... Then we went to the barn for feeding and bedding..... All 5 cattle pens, the goat, and rabbits got fresh bedding......

Today is back to normal...... Colton & TJ are both here..... School is on a 2 hour delay, so at 9:30 we will walk to the bus...... then Colton and I will resume our day as usual.....

I have laundry to do, vacuuming, dishes, the bathroom to clean..... and possibly scrub the kitchen floor..... Later I will take some fresh bedding to the dog and chickens.....

Another boring day!

Schools are closed..... Colton's Mom stayed home...... I'm bored......

I do have a few little things to get done...... but, I've got time...... Tonight Scott and I have to go pick up 2 straw bales from Teds..... then back here to bed all the cow pens......

I am getting ready to buy my seeds for my garden..... I will buy what I can from local stores, then get an order ready from one of my seed catalogs..... I also will buy my tomato & pepper plants local! I cannot wait for spring!

Well this is a short post..... I think I'll go get something done..... and get something to eat......

Snowy, Lazy Day

It's one of those days...... No school today, so that means no TJ, and Colton's Mom stayed home, so no Colton..... Scott & Tony are both at work..... Scottie is sleeping for a few more hours...... And Darren is in and out..... He has a friend over......

We've got a few inches of snow out there already, supposed to turn to ice this evening......

I havn't got a whole lot done today...... All Scottie's laundry is washed and hanging down stairs, Scott & I's towels are washed and in the dryer (racks are full, and I need a towel soon for my shower)..... Cat box is scooped, and bathroom is swept..... Dishes are done & counters are clean...... and I have a pork roast in the oven..... We will also be having baked potatoes & green beans.......

At 4:30 or 5 I'll head to the barn for evening feeding....... This way Scott doesn't have to worry about it when he gets home tonight..... We will have hay to unload.......

Well headed to look at this weeks sales flyers! Trying to save money! Stay warm!

Well Saturday evening we took Colton out to eat, then back to his house.... I was ready for some peace & quite....

Sunday we got up early & went to Enola for the fuel oil we purchased out of the news paper..... Jeff ended up driving, his truck is bigger and we were able to get 4 - 55 gallon drums, all the tools, and the 1 tank.... We do need to go back down, theres about 140 gallons still down there, but the $150.00 pump we bought died already.... So Scott has to try to find time and take that back.....

Last night we went to Jeff & Deb's for supper..... She made chicken pot pie..... It was so good.... I took my laptop along, since they recently got DSL and a wireless router..... it was so nice... I updated a lot of things I wouldn't have normally done at my house with dial up...

Today will be filled woth cleaning, and keeping an eye on the animals, it is soooo cold! I think I'll make a venision stew for tonight with some biscuits..... Have a great day!

Snow this morning!

Well we woke up to snow on the ground this morning! Atleast it's not to cold out.... about 32*.... Colton and I took Scott to work this morning, incase we want to run to the store later.... Not gonna happen if the plows don't come out..... LOL!

Tony and Scottie are up early and gone already..... I guess they went to look at a house to buy.... They are trying to make it big in real estate..... I guess Tony will be gone all day.... After he's done looking at that house, he made plans to go cut firewood somewhere.... then he agreed to run his boss (whose amish) to York this evening....

I'm not sure what Darren's plans are for today.... He's still sleeping... Go figuare! LOL!

I have a few loads of laundry to get done and hang in the basement, vacuum & dust Scott and I's bedroom, and swiffer the kitchen floor.....
