a SHOWER....

Okay folks... I know to some people "a shower" is just a typical everyday thing.... but I'm telling ya what... 5 months ago we moved into this house, with no shower.... We've had baths, baths, & more baths.... LOL.... Yesterday I got the 1st official shower in our new bathroom.... It was the best ever....

Last night we put the border up, started trim, medicine cabinet & the toilet paper holder, & towel racks.... It's really coming together nicely.... I LoVe it....

Excitement in our house....

Scott was able to get his bath at home this evening.... Our bath tub is in & finished.... Tomorrow evening the shower walls will be done.... I need to paint yet (since I finally got the right paint color)....

So anyhow, some other awesome news.... Scott is going after work tomorrow to pick up our new lawn mower.... Torro Zero Turn 19 horse power 42" cut.... We are super excited about that too....

I am off for the night... We have quit early tonight, and are relaxing.... Hope all is well for you & yours.... Thanks for stopping by....

The bathroom is coming along.... We have a toilet that WORKS.... WOO HOO!!! LOL....

We've had a lot of help with this project.... We are glad to have as much as we can get... Kevin's been here most of the time.... Darren, Scottie, Brian, & Jeff have been great help....

I'll be glad when it's over, as I'm sure so will Scott.... He's been working all day at work, then working till after midnight in the bathroom... We are so sleep deprived... LOL....

So anyhow.... On another note.... Scott's Mom has been making suppers the past few days.... Tonight is the first I've cooked in days.... I've got a nice pot of veggie beef soup simmering away.... I'm not feeling well, so it will be nice....

Searching for lights & flooring...

Tonight while Scott & Kevin re~route the toilet & add some much needed electrical outlets, I am searching the net for lighting fixtures & flooring. I am headed out to Lowes tomorrow morning & want to have an idea in my head before I go.

We had a wonderful meal this evening prepared by Scott's Mom; pork loin, mashed potatoes, & peas. YUM. Then it was back to work, LOL.

Can you say Exhausted?

I can. LOL. I am so tired. We quit early this evening. The closet is gone, all the "pink/peach tile" is gone, the carpet is GONE. WOO HOO.

Tomorrow I have to go over the floor with a flat edge shovel to finish scraping the old backing off the floor. When Scott gets home he should be able to start the water pipes & rip out the sink.

I'm off to bed. sLeEp.

We are sooo tired...

As most of you know, we have started out bathroom project. So right now, we have no tub or shower & no sink in the bathroom. We are taking showers @ Scott's Mom's, and washing hands & brushing teeth in the kitchen. I'm so excited to have it DONE. But it will take time. Scott has only nights to work on it.

My whole house looks like a construction zone. In my living room, I have 6 - 4x8 sheets of bead board, my shower faucet, and tools. My kitchen has 7 - 10' pieces of CPVC pipes, painting acc's, tools, & the sink faucet. The office is filling up quick. The shower walls are standing in there, and today I have the job of cleaning everything else out of the bathroom. And the bathroom, well we wont even go there. LOL. the new tub is standing on end in the corner, the one window is about torn out, the wall "linolium" is about ripped out, etc... etc....

Today is Scott's Mom's birthday. She is 71. We had a small dinner for her last night. I made meatloaf, mashed potatoes, corn, & a spice cake. Darren took the leftovers home.

WOO HOO... I'm so excited... the unofficial start to the 2009 season has begun....

I've been so excited, that I am actually driving Scott crazy with it.... Yes folks, I'm 100% redneck.... and darn proud of it.... Hopefully next week for the Daytona 500 we'll have the surround sound hooked up.... It's just not the same....

So anyhow.... GO TONY STEWART.... #14 this year....

My Tattoos.

^ This is my 2nd tattoo. Done @ a tattoo party 3 years ago. On my lower back. Had me in tears.
^ This is my 3rd tattoo. Done @ my sister's, by my sister. Each color flower represent each of the boys' birthstone. It covers a good part of my calf.
^ This is a combo. The small rose was done 8 years ago @ a county fair. The date below it, my sister added for me. And is Scott & I's anniversary.

Snowing, again....

Although they say it's not going to amount to anything. We'll see.

Had an interesting weekend.
Friday evening we stayed home, had baked mac & cheese w/ broccoli & chicken, then I worked on our taxes. I'm glad they're done.
Saturday; Scott worked, and I went to Jeff & Deb's to clean. Got a lot done there. Then we went shopping. Hit the Goodwill, 2 grocery stores, & the Family Dollar. Scott & I met up at the boys' house around 5ish. Scottie's car was stuck 1/2 way up the driveway. We were there about 4 hours, Scott worked with the skidloader & was able to make it so they could get up.
Sunday; I was home all say. Didn't feel well. Scott & Brian were out in the woods cutting firewood. In the early afternoon, Scottie came up and visited with me. Brought up the paper (with the coupons for me). For the superbowl, Scott hung with the boys @ their friends house. I was home, and Brian came down. He watched most of the game with me, then had to leave. I am not happy with the turn out of the game, but hey. Ya can't win them all. LOL.

So anyhow. Today is Monday, and I feel a ton better than yesterday. I had Colton most of the day. He was gone from 10:45 ~ 3:45 for school. I ran to the amish store for a few things. Also did laundry, and some light housework.

Also, I am asking for some prayers for Darren & Tony. They are both out of work right now. Tony is able to get unemployment. Darren is not. So please remember them in prayer.
